A small closure joint ready for UHPC reinforced with Type X Hiper Fiber. These really small closure pours are arguably one of the most successful applications of UHPC in bridge construction in the US to date. The small size of the joint is highly desired by bridge engineers and enabled by the extremely high bond strength of the steel bars in UHPC.
